We are so excited about this year's 9|9 (Nine-Nine) Native South Art Show. We wanted to give you a heads up that the clock is ticking! You only have one month until the timeframe to start submitting art for judging. The submission window this year is August 11-22. That gives you two weeks to get work submitted. We are ready to see what you have for the show this year. Don't forget the exhibit opens on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:30pm. So, save the date! Winners will be announced at the opening.
We are also excited to announce the prize money for this year's competition: First Place - $3,000, Second Place - $2,000 and Third Place - $1,000!! This year's prize money is a great incentive to continue to push the envelope of creativity and artistry.
Work can be submitted in person at the museum Monday - Friday from 9am until 5pm or by mail. Mailing art is at your own expense, but we will return ship it to you by the museum.
**This is a museum exhibition. If selected, Art CANNOT BE PICKED UP EARLY OR SWITCHED OUT at any point in the exhibition. If you submit art for the show, make sure you are comfortable with leaving it in the show until February.**
Remember, work needs to have a clear artistic focus, cleanly executed, and professionally presented.
